On the occasion of the Historical Revolution and Solidarity Day, on Friday, November 7, 2025, a discussion meeting and a colorful rally organized by Gazipur-1 (Konabari) Thana BNP were held. The entire area was filled with a festive atmosphere with the large participation of local leaders and activists.
The chief guest of the event, BNP Organizing Secretary Kazi Sayedul Alam Babul, said in his speech, “When millions of leaders and activists of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party were in the movement to achieve the right to vote for the people, they could not be suppressed even by harassing them with attacks and cases. It was only through the united struggle of BNP that it was possible to overthrow the autocratic government. However, there are still some agents of autocratic rule in the administration who want to destabilize the country.”
He further said, “Bangladesh is now on the electoral wagon. No more conspiracies will be tolerated regarding this election. People were deprived of their right to vote for almost 17 years—now the people want to vote freely. If anyone wants to prevent the people from this right, the people will give a strong answer.”
Regarding the Gazipur-1 constituency, Kazi Sayedul Alam Babul said that BNP has already announced primary nominations for 263 seats and discussions are underway with the alliance and allied parties for the remaining 37 seats. He said, “Gazipur-1 constituency is also on that list and the final announcement will come very soon. I have stood by the leaders and activists during the party’s difficult times, endured torture and persecution, and never ran away. I believe that my beloved leader Tarique Rahman and leader Begum Khaleda Zia will nominate me after evaluating this work.”
He confidently added, “If I get the nomination, I will be able to give victory to the paddy fields with you. I believe that the people of Gazipur will be by my side, just like in the past, now and in the future.”
The leaders of the organization commented that the large presence of local leaders and activists and the general public in the discussion meetings and rallies has further accelerated the BNP’s upcoming election preparations.
