Ahead of the upcoming parliamentary elections, a festive atmosphere has been created across the area centered on the mass outreach of Dr. M A Qayyum, BNP candidate for Dhaka-11 constituency, the party’s national executive committee’s microfinance affairs secretary and former founding president of Dhaka Metropolitan North BNP. On Saturday (November 8), before starting the mass outreach in favor of paddy sheaves from Subastu Nazar Valley in Badda, the capital, he said in a brief rally— “Today, a mass tide has been created in favor of BNP. If BNP comes to power, we will build Dhaka-11 free of terrorism, extortion and drugs, InshaAllah.”

Dr. M A Qayyum also said, “The constitution that will be reformed in the future through the 31-point plan announced by BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman will ensure the people’s voting rights. No dictator will be able to take away the people’s voting rights anymore.” He claimed that after 17 long years, people have once again taken to the streets in favor of the paddy.

Known as the leader of the soil and people of Dhaka-11 constituency, this BNP candidate said, “When the BNP is in power, the country’s development accelerates. I want to work again for the overall development of the country, including education, health, agriculture and infrastructure. In the future, the people’s fundamental rights will be ensured by forming a government under the leadership of Tarique Rahman.”

He said that the people of Badda, Bhatara, Rampura and Hatirjheel received civic services during the BNP’s time in the past. The people want to trust BNP again to ensure basic facilities including gas, water and electricity.

At the rally, BNP’s Dhaka Metropolitan North Joint Convener SM Jahangir Hossain said, “After 17 long years, people have got their voting rights back. People are jubilant as the interim government has announced the national elections next February. BNP only gave nominations – and that’s why millions of people took to the streets.”

He further said, “We are working to build a humane state under the leadership of Tarique Rahman. We are united to make Dr. M A Qayyum win in Dhaka-11 constituency. We will work for the welfare of the country and the nation by implementing BNP’s 31-point plan, InshaAllah.”

Throughout the mass outreach, the atmosphere was festive with the presence of local leaders and activists and the general public.
