Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh today (afternoon) visited the Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi and paid his deepest respects to former Bangladesh Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.
He signed the condolence book kept at the High Commission. In his condolence message, Rajnath Singh said,
“On behalf of the government and people of India, I extend my heartfelt condolences on the passing away of former Bangladesh Prime Minister and Chairperson of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party Begum Khaleda Zia. Her significant contribution in strengthening India-Bangladesh relations will be remembered forever.”
