State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism M Rashiduzzaman Millat made a surprise visit to Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at midnight on Monday (March 16, 2026).
During the visit, the State Minister visited various important areas of the airport and was informed about the overall activities and the existing situation. The Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and other senior officials concerned were present at the time. They informed the State Minister in detail about the ongoing activities and various developmental initiatives.
At one stage of the visit, the State Minister spoke to the passengers staying at the airport. He wanted to know about the facilities and inconveniences related to their journey and discussed with the concerned officials about the quality of passenger service, security measures and infrastructural activities.
The State Minister said that the government has taken various developmental steps to ensure better and quality services for passengers, which will continue in the future. He stressed on improving the quality of passenger services and making the overall management of the airport more modern and efficient.
After the inspection, the State Minister expressed satisfaction and expressed hope that the airport would be made more modern and passenger-friendly with the coordinated efforts of all concerned. At the same time, he called for maintaining sincerity in discharging his duties and thanked all concerned.
