Aam Janata Dal member secretary Tarique Rahman has broken his 134-hour long hunger strike. He broke his hunger strike on Sunday (November 9, 2025) evening at the request of BNP national standing committee member Salauddin Ahmed. Later, he was taken to Gonoshasthaya Hospital in an ambulance.
BNP standing committee member Salauddin Ahmed reached in front of the Nirban Bhaban in Agargaon on Sunday evening. He observed the physical condition of the ailing Tarique Rahman and requested him to break his hunger strike. At the same time, he called for humanity and compassion towards the Election Commission so that justice is ensured in the subsequent appeal process.
