BCB Age-Based Team Director Asif Akbar visits Rangamati

Asif Akbar, Director of Age-Based Cricket Development of Bangladesh Cricket Board, visited the Rangamati District Sports Association and District Stadium to develop age-based cricket in Rangamati.

He exchanged views with age-based cricket players and officials of the sports association at the Rangamati Mari Stadium at 10 am on Thursday (November 6).

At this time, members of the Rangamati District Sports Association Ad Hoc Committee Md. Shafiqul Islam Chowdhury, Abu Sadat Md. Sayem, Nirmal Barua Milan, Mohammad Ali Patwari, Syed Hefazat-ul-Bari (Green) along with age-based cricket players, members of the sports association Ad Hoc Committee and representatives of various clubs were present.

Director Asif Akbar took the views of the players and organizers to improve the quality of age-based players in the hilly district of Rangamati and create a suitable environment for playing.

Expressing disappointment in visiting the Rangamati ground, Asif Akbar said, “I am disappointed that there are no facilities for cricket here. The people of this region are quite advanced in terms of physical ability, and the Cricket Board wants to utilize this. The Cricket Board will take necessary steps to meet the necessary needs for the development of age-based cricket.”
