BCMEA to host four-day Ceramic Expo Bangladesh 2025 is set to begin on November 27 at dhaka

Ceramic Expo Bangladesh 2025 is set to begin on November 27 at the International Convention Center Bashundhara ICCB, Kuril, Dhaka. The four-day international ceramic fair, one of the largest in Asia, is being organized by the Bangladesh Ceramic Manufacturers and Exporters Association-BCMEA. For the fourth time, 300 brands, including 135 companies from 25 countries including Bangladesh, are participating in this world-class exhibition on raw materials, machinery and technology of ceramic products. In addition, 500 international representatives and buyers will participate in the fair. The expo will include 3 seminars, job fairs, B2B and B2C meetings, raffle draws, attractive gifts, live demonstrations, spot orders and the opportunity to unveil new product packaging.

BCMEA President Mainul Islam gave this information at a press conference organized at the Dhaka Reporters Unity Auditorium in the capital today (November 23, 2025). Fair Committee Chairman and BCMEA General Secretary Irfan Uddin also spoke highlighting various aspects of the fair.

BCMEA Senior Vice President Md. Mamunur Rashid FCMA and Senior Vice President Abdul Hakim Sumon, Vice President Rashid Maimunul Islam and Director Md. Ziaul Haque Jiku were present at the time.

It was informed at the press conference that Trade Advisor Sheikh Bashiruddin will formally inaugurate the fair at ICCB on November 27. In addition, Foreign Affairs Advisor Mohammad Touhid Hossain will be present as the chief guest at a special event of the fair on November 29.

BCMEA President Mainul Islam said that more than 70 ceramic tableware, tiles and sanitary ware factories have already been established in the country. The annual sales volume in the local market is about 8 thousand crore taka. In the last ten years, production and investment in the ceramic sector has increased by about 150 percent. The annual income from exporting ceramic products to more than 50 countries of the world is about 5 billion taka. Export income in this sector is increasing. Investment is also increasing. Many countries, including major producing countries China and India, are interested in investing in this industry. There is an investment of more than 18 thousand crore taka in this industry. There is direct and indirect employment of about five lakh people.

Fair Committee Chairman and BCMEA General Secretary Irfan Uddin said that the value of ceramic products made in Bangladesh is increasing in the global market due to their improved quality and attractive designs. Not only that, but new markets are also being created at the same time.

He said that Ceramic Expo Bangladesh-2025 is the fourth international exhibition in the country and the largest in Asia. Ceramic manufacturers, exporters and suppliers are getting an opportunity to showcase their new products, modern technologies and their expertise globally at this expo. This expo will not only market domestic ceramic products but also raise awareness about their use.

Irfan Uddin said, “We believe that the use of technology in the ceramic industry will completely change the future. Automation, advanced digital printing, robotic handling and high-quality production lines will make production faster, more accurate and cost-effective. Currently, the popularity of smart tiles and sensor integrated products is increasing worldwide and this will have an impact on the Bangladeshi market in the future. We believe that the expo will establish a link between our manufacturing companies and those technologies.

The four-day exhibition will be open to all, including visitors and buyers and sellers, for free entry from 10 am to 6 pm every day.

The principal sponsor of the fair is Sheltech Ceramics, while the platinum sponsors are DBL Ceramics, Akij Ceramics and Meghna Ceramics. The gold sponsors are Mir Ceramics, Abul Jayer Ceramics, HLT DLT and SAKMI.
