BNP appoints New Private Secretary and Press Secretary of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman. Former Secretary to the Bangladesh Government ABM Abdus Sattar has been appointed as Tarique Rahman’s Private Secretary and former General Secretary of Dhaka Reporters Unity A A M Saleh (Saleh Shibli) has been appointed as the Press Secretary.
This information was given in a press release signed by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Saturday (January 3, 2026).
The release said, ‘For the information of all concerned, I would like to inform you that former Secretary to the Bangladesh Government ABM Abdus Sattar has been appointed as the Private Secretary to BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman and AAM Saleh has been appointed as the Press Secretary.’
