BNP has left seven more seats for alliance partners in the upcoming 13th National Parliament elections. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir announced this information at a press conference held at the BNP Chairperson’s office in Gulshan, the capital, on Wednesday (December 24).
He said that National Democratic Party (NDM) Chairman Bobby Hajjaj will join the BNP and contest from Dhaka-13 constituency. Besides, Revolutionary Workers Party General Secretary Saiful Haque (Dhaka-12), People’s Rights Council President Nurul Haque Nur (Patuakhali-3), Rashed Khan (Jhenaidah-4), Nagorik Oikya President Mahmudur Rahman Manna (Bogra-2), Jatiya Party (Kazi Zafar) Chairman Mustafa Jamal Haider (Pirojpur-1), Mass Solidarity Movement Coordinator Jonayed Saki (Brahmanbaria-6) and Mufti Rashid (Jashore-5) will contest in these seats. BNP will not nominate any candidate in these seats and will support them.
The BNP Secretary General warned that if anyone becomes an independent candidate in a seat where candidates have been exempted for partners as per the central decision, organizational measures will be taken.
