If BNP is elected by the people and comes to power, the maximum punishment for women abusers will be ensured. Salahuddin Ahmed, a member of the standing committee of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), said this.
He made these remarks as the chief guest at a silent procession pre-meeting titled ‘Growing Violence and Disrespect against Women: A Conscious Women Society Ready to Resist’ at Shahbag in the capital on Friday (November 14, 2025). The program was organized by the Women and Children’s Rights Forum.
The senior BNP leader said that arrangements will be made to ensure that women abusers and rapists cannot escape by closing loopholes in the law. We will also pay attention to ensuring that criminals do not get away with misusing the law.
The rally was presided over by Begum Selima Rahman, convener of the Women and Children’s Rights Forum and member of the BNP’s national standing committee.
Under the direction of Advocate Nipun Roy Chowdhury, General Secretary of Dhaka District BNP and Member Secretary of Women and Children’s Rights Forum, Shirin Sultana, Nilofar Chowdhury Moni, Sanjida Islam Tuli, Rehana Akhter Shirin, and others, also spoke.
