On the occasion of the Great Victory Day, Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus paid deep tribute to the martyrs of the great liberation war of 1971 at the National Memorial in Savar.
He paid tribute by placing a wreath at the altar of the National Memorial at 6:56 am today, Tuesday (December 16, 2025) after sunrise.
After placing the wreath, the Chief Adviser stood in silence for a while to pay tribute to the memory of the martyrs of the great liberation war of 1971.
At this time, a smart group of the Army, Navy and Air Force displayed the national salute. The bugle sounded a mournful tune.
Later, the Chief Adviser signed the visitors’ book kept at the memorial.
The Chief Justice, advisors to the interim government, the chiefs of the three services, freedom fighters, diplomats, and other senior civil and military officials were present at the time.
