A condolence message sent by the Chief Advisor to the interim government, Professor Muhammad Yunus, on the death of Begum Khaleda Zia, the symbol of the democratic movement and Chairperson of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), has been delivered to BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.
Sajeeb M Khairul Islam, Private Secretary to the Chief Advisor, delivered the condolence message at the BNP Chairperson’s Gulshan office today, Monday (January 05, 2026).
In the condolence message, the Chief Advisor expressed deep shock and sorrow over the death of Begum Khaleda Zia and prayed for the forgiveness of her soul. At the same time, he expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family, party leaders and activists and supporters.
