A dialogue meeting was held by BNP with voters and individuals of the area in Bhatara Ward No. 39 of the capital. BNP National Executive Committee’s Small and Credit Affairs Secretary Dr. MA Qayyum was present as the chief guest.
Dhaka Metropolitan North BNP Joint Convener Ataur Rahman Chairman was present as the special guest, and Dhaka Metropolitan North BNP Bhatara Police Station No. 1 Joint Convener Bir Muktijoddha Mohammad Ali Khan presided over the meeting.
While addressing the meeting, Dr. MA Qayyum said that BNP is determined to stop extortion. He also said that he will do whatever is necessary to completely destroy drugs with the cooperation of the local people.
Dr. Qayyum also said that many people in the area have lost their land and have been occupied, but he urged everyone to be patient until the elections and assured them that he would stand by them.
