The District Police has strengthened special traffic management in Gazipur to ensure smooth travel of people returning home on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr-2026. For this purpose, a briefing has been held to resolve traffic congestion on the highway and regional roads up to Nandan Square under Kaliakoir Police Station and to maintain normal law and order situation.
Gazipur Police Superintendent Mr. Md. Sharif Uddin was present as the chief guest in this briefing organized by the District Police, Gazipur at Chandra Government College Ground.
In the briefing, the Police Superintendent gave instructions to adopt effective traffic management on the highways and regional roads to resolve traffic congestion on the occasion of Eid and to implement it strictly. He said that utmost caution must be taken to reduce the suffering of people during the Eid journey.
At this time, he stressed on maintaining law and order in the highway area, saying that all concerned should be vigilant and take necessary measures to prevent any kind of extortion, terrorist activities or robbery.
Additional Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Mr. Mahbubur Rahman, senior officials of the district police, and police members at various levels responsible for traffic congestion were present at the briefing.
Those concerned expressed hope that such a coordinated initiative in Gazipur will ensure a comfortable journey for passengers ahead of Eid.
