An important meeting on law and order coordination was held in Gazipur to ensure that the 13th parliamentary election is conducted in a fair, free and peaceful manner.
The meeting, organized at the conference room of the Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP) Headquarters on Thursday (February 5, 2026), was presided over by Mr. Md. Israel Howlader, Police Commissioner of Gazipur Metropolitan Police.
At the meeting, the Police Commissioner carefully received the opinions and suggestions of the representatives of all the departments and organizations present. In his speech, he called on all the relevant institutions, including the law and order forces, to work together to conduct the 13th parliamentary election in a fair and beautiful manner. He also gave a directive speech on maintaining security, peace and order during the election period and performing duties with professionalism in dealing with any situation.
Also present in the meeting were Mr. Mohammad Taherul Haque Chauhan, Additional Police Commissioner (Crime and Operations) of Gazipur Metropolitan Police, Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officer, Gazipur City Corporation, Bangladesh Army, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), DGFI, RAB, NSI, Ansar and Village Defense Force, Fire Service and Civil Defense, Civil Surgeon, District Election Officer, Palli Bidyut Samity-1 Gazipur.
Also present in the meeting were Deputy Police Commissioners of GMP and Officer-in-Charge of various police stations.
