While campaigning in Panchagarh, Jamaat Ameer Shafiqur Rahman handed over the election symbol Shapla Kali to NCP leader Sarjis Alam on Friday (January 23, 2026) morning.
Sarjis Alam, the northern chief organizer of the Jatiya Nagorik Party, is contesting the upcoming elections from Panchagarh-1 constituency (Panchgarh Sadar, Tentulia and Atwari) on behalf of a 10-party alliance.
Handing over the Shapla Kali to Sarjis Alam, the Jamaat Ameer said, “This (Shapla Kali) is the symbol of 10 parties for Panchagarh.” No one will give up until they snatch victory.’
In addition to Jamaat Ameer, Sarjis Alam, Panchagarh-2 candidate Shafiullah Sufi and other leaders were present at the election rally of the 10-party unity alliance in Panchagarh.
