Newly elected VP of Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) Sadiq Kayem said, ‘July generation has won through DUCSU elections. There is no victory or defeat here.’
He said, ‘I remember all the martyrs of the July Revolution. I remember all the martyrs of the great liberation war, all the martyrs of the independence movement. I remember all the martyrs who were martyred in the torture of Chhatra League.’
The DUCSU VP said these things to journalists in immediate reaction in front of the Senate Building after the results were announced on Wednesday (September 10, 2025) morning. He said, ‘Through DUCSU elections, students have entrusted us with leadership. We will fulfill the rightful right of that trust, God willing.’
He also requested not to hold a victory procession over this success. At the same time, he also expressed gratitude to the countrymen, especially those who were interested in DUCSU elections.
