A preparatory meeting was held for the departed soul of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and a preparatory meeting was held for the upcoming visit of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman to North Bengal at the initiative of Kaliakoir Upazila and Municipality BNP of Gazipur-1 constituency.
BNP’s Dhaka Divisional Organizing Secretary Alhaj Kazi Sayedul Alam Babul was present as the chief guest at the program organized in Kaliakoir Upazila on Thursday (January 8, 2026).
Former Kaliakoir Upazila BNP President Mohammad Helal Uddin spoke as the special guest. Mayor Mojibur Rahman, the BNP-nominated paddy sheaf candidate for Gazipur-1 constituency and a member of the BNP National Executive Committee, spoke as the main speaker at the meeting.
The program was presided over by Md. Humayun Kabir Khan, Co-Secretary for Labor Affairs of the BNP Central Committee and General Secretary of the Bangladesh Road Transport Workers Federation.
Leaders and activists of various levels of upazila and municipal BNP and allied organizations were present at the program.
