The Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Bangladesh, in collaboration with the Alliance Française de Dhaka, Dhaka, organized a documentary exhibition titled “Destination Francophonie: Kosovo – Welcome to the Heart of the Balkans”.
The exhibition, organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Dhaka, was held on the occasion of the ongoing Francophonie Festival in Dhaka. Members of the diplomatic community, representatives of various cultural institutions, academicians, students and friends of the Francophonie community participated in it.
At the beginning of the event, Lulzim Pllana, Ambassador of Kosovo to Bangladesh, spoke. He thanked François Chambraud, Director, Alliance Française de Dhaka, and his team for their cooperation in organizing the event.
The Ambassador said that Francophonie in Kosovo is not just symbolic; it is practiced in practice through educational institutions, cultural centers and various international networks.
Regarding Bangladesh-Kosovo relations, he said, Bangladesh is unique in the world for its rich heritage of language and culture and language movement. Such events help strengthen cultural diversity and mutual understanding between the two countries.
The documentary was produced by TV5MONDE and showcases the vibrant city life of Kosovo’s capital Prishtina, the ancient archaeological site Ulpiana, the cultural life of the historic cities of Prizren and Gjakovë, and the achievements of Kosovo’s Olympic athletes.
At the end of the exhibition, an Iftar reception was organized for the guests on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, which created an opportunity for informal discussions and cultural exchange among the participants.
Through such events, the Embassy of Kosovo in Bangladesh is working to showcase the culture of Kosovo and strengthen mutual relations between the people of the two countries.
