Sharif Osman Hadi, one of the leaders of the July Uprising, spokesperson of the Inqilab Manch and potential independent candidate for Dhaka-8 constituency, will be taken to Singapore in a medical air ambulance on Monday (December 15, 2025) afternoon for advanced treatment.
The decision in this regard was taken on Sunday (December 14, 2025) on the instructions of Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus. The decision was finalized in an emergency call conference held with the participation of Cultural Advisor Mustafa Sarwar Farooqui, Special Assistant Professor to the Chief Advisor on Health Ministry Affairs Dr. Md. Sayedur Rahman, Evercare Hospital specialist Dr. Zafar, Osman Hadi’s brother Omar Bin Hadi.
It is learned that over the past two days, the government has been in contact with multiple hospitals in Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia to assess the feasibility of Osman Hadi’s treatment. Today, after consulting the expert medical team of Evercare Hospital and discussing with the family members, the matter was informed to the Chief Advisor.
Special Assistant Professor Dr. Md. Sayedur Rahman, the Chief Advisor’s Ministry of Health Affairs, said that Osman Hadi’s physical condition is currently unchanged. It has been decided to send him to Singapore for better treatment.
He also said that all necessary medical air ambulance, medical team and travel arrangements have already been made for this purpose. All necessary arrangements have been made for his treatment at the Accident and Emergency Department of Singapore General Hospital.
All medical expenses related to Osman Hadi will be borne by the state. In addition, the Chief Advisor has instructed the concerned to keep his medical process under constant monitoring.
Meanwhile, Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus has sought prayers and supplications from the countrymen for Osman Hadi’s speedy recovery.
