A terrible explosion occurred in Mirpur, the capital. On Tuesday (October 14, 2025), a sudden explosion occurred in a garment factory and a nearby chemical godown. The fire spread in an instant, creating panic in the entire area.
Upon receiving the information, 12 units of the fire service reached the spot and started working to control the fire. Students, volunteers, police, RAB and BGB members of a nearby private university joined them in their assistance.
Fire service officials said that the fire in the garment section has been brought under control, but the fire in the chemical godown has not yet been completely controlled. The godown is still in a very risky condition.
According to initial information, there were 6 to 7 types of chemicals stored there. Due to these chemicals, it is taking time to bring the fire under control and there is also a risk of another explosion.
