On Thursday, 4 December 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy in Dhaka hosted a reception to celebrate Thailand’s National Day, the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, and Father’s Day. Brigadier General Dr. M. Sakhawat Hossain, Advisor to the Ministry of Shipping and Ministry of Labour and Employment, attended the event as the Guest of Honour.

Around 200 guests participated in the event, including members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of international organizations, government officials, and business leaders from Thailand and Bangladesh.




Her Excellency Mrs. Thitiporn Chirasawadi, Ambassador of Thailand to Bangladesh, paid tribute to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother and delivered a speech commemorating the great benevolence of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great. The Ambassador also spoke about Bangladesh-Thailand political, economic, and social relations, multilateral cooperation over the past year, and upcoming projects and activities aimed at further strengthening bilateral ties.


The event featured Thai cuisine and desserts, along with a fruit and vegetable carving display. Cultural performances were organized with support from the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), New Delhi Office, showcasing Thai food and culture and promoting Thailand’s soft power.
