An important meeting of top leaders of 11-party electoral alliance has been held ahead of the upcoming national elections and referendum. The meeting was held at the central office of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami in Moghbazar at 7 pm on Tuesday (February 10). The meeting was presided over by Ameer-e-Jamaat Dr. Shafiqur Rahman.

The meeting discussed in detail the overall situation of the national elections and referendum to be held on February 12, election management, unified strategy and integrated action plan. The leaders presented their positions on holding fair, free and acceptable elections and emphasized mutual cooperation.
Present at the meeting were National Citizens Party convener Nahid Islam, Bangladesh Khilafat Majlis Ameer Maulana Mamunul Haque, Khilafat Majlis Joint Secretary General Professor Abdul Jalil, Liberal Democratic Party Advisory Board Member Principal Mahbubur Rahman, Nezame Islam Party Senior Nayeb Ameer Maulana Abdul Majed Athari, Bangladesh Labor Party Chairman Dr. Mostafizur Rahman Iran, National Democratic Party Vice President and Spokesperson Engineer Rashed Prodhan, and Bangladesh Development Party Vice Chairman Engineer Anwar Hossain.
Also present were Bangladesh Khilafat Majlis Senior Nayeb Ameer Maulana Yusuf Ashraf, Jamaat-e-Islami Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim, Assistant Secretary General and Head of Central Publicity and Media Department Advocate Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair, Jatiya Nagorik Party Spokesperson and Election Steering Committee Chairman Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan, Nezami Islam Party Secretary General Musa Bin Izhar and Labor Party Secretary General Khandaker Mirajul Islam.
After the meeting, Ameer-e-Jamaat Dr. Shafiqur Rahman briefed the journalists along with the present leaders. He informed the media about the position and actions of the 11-party unity regarding the elections and referendum.
