A preparatory open discussion meeting was held in Tetulia, Panchagarh to improve the quality of tourism industry services in the coming winter season. The Upazila administration organized the meeting at the Upazila Parishad Hallroom on Saturday (August 23, 2025) at 7 pm.
Upazila Executive Officer Afroz Shahin Khasru presided over the open discussion, which was attended by Upazila BNP President Shahadat Hossain Ronju, Jubo Dal Convener Enam, Chhatra Dal Member Secretary Sabuj, Tetulia Upazila Merchants Association Secretary Delwar Hossain, timber trader Hasan, Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh Tetulia branch Amir Mao. Abdul Hakim, journalists Abdul Baset and Sabuj of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, Motor Workers’ Leader Manju.
Officer-in-Charge of Tetulia Model Police Station Musa Mia was present at the time. In the open discussion and suggestions of the people present in the meeting, a decision was taken to implement several instructions to improve the quality of hotel motels and local van travel services to ensure the safety of tourists visiting Kanjanjungha in the coming winter season. The meeting was attended by conscious citizens, teachers, media workers, residential hotel and restaurant businessmen, auto-rickshaw/van drivers, members of the market traders’ association, Tetulia Model Police Station, Tourist Police, Highway Police and political leaders.
