Jamaat-e-Islami announces movement for 5-point demands including elections in February

In the context of the ongoing political situation in the country, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has announced a new program to implement its election demands. The program was announced at a press conference held at Al-Falah Auditorium in Moghbazar, the capital, on Monday (September 15, 2025) at 12:30 noon.

It was informed at the press conference that the party will continue its movement for 5-point demands including national elections in February based on the July National Charter.

The press conference was moderated by Assistant Secretary General and Head of the Central Propaganda and Media Department, Advocate Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair. Nayeb Amir and former Member of Parliament Dr. Syed Abdullah Muhammad Taher presented written statements and answered various questions from journalists.

Secretary General and former MP Professor Mia Golam Parwar, Assistant Secretary General Dr. AHM Hamidur Rahman Azad (former MP), Maulana Abdul Halim, Advocate Moazzam Hossain Helal, Central Executive Council Member Saiful Alam Khan Milon, Advocate Matiur Rahman Akand, Abdur Rob, Mubarak Homain, Nayeb Ameer of Dhaka Metropolitan North Abdur Rahman Musa, Secretary of Dhaka Metropolitan South Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud, Assistant Secretary of Dhaka Metropolitan North Yasin Arafat and Secretary of the Publicity and Media Department Ataur Rahman Sarkar and other leaders.
