Bangladesh-Turkey pledge to enhance cooperation to address global challenges

Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Beris Ekinci met with Prime Minister’s Foreign Affairs Advisor Humayun Kabir. They met on the sidelines of a diplomatic forum in Antalya, Turkey on Saturday (April 18) morning.

During the meeting, the two discussed various issues of mutual interest, including strengthening bilateral relations, increasing trade and investment cooperation, and expanding cooperation on regional and global platforms. The Foreign Advisor discussed ways to further deepen the long-standing and friendly relations between Bangladesh and Turkey based on common values, mutual respect, and strategic cooperation.

Beris Ekinci expressed Turkey’s strong interest in further strengthening relations with Bangladesh, especially in the areas of economic partnership, development cooperation, and people-to-people contacts. He praised Bangladesh’s significant socio-economic progress.

Important regional and international developments also came up in the discussion. Both sides emphasized the importance of dialogue, diplomacy and multilateral cooperation in addressing global challenges.

The meeting was held in a cordial and constructive atmosphere, reflecting the growing partnership between Bangladesh and Turkey. Both sides expressed optimism about the future direction of bilateral relations and agreed to maintain regular high-level discussions.
