Nepalese Ambassador to Bangladesh Ghanshyam Bhandari paid a courtesy call on Industries Minister Khandaker Abdul Muktadir. The meeting was held at the Industries Minister’s office on Wednesday (April 22, 2026).
The meeting discussed various aspects of strengthening the existing friendly relations between Bangladesh and Nepal, as well as increasing cooperation in the industrial, trade, power and investment sectors.
The Industries Minister said that Bangladesh is currently achieving economic growth through rapid industrialization and a safe and convenient environment has been ensured for foreign investors. He called on Nepalese entrepreneurs to invest in Bangladesh. He said that joint initiatives in the industrial sector will increase employment and the economies of both countries will become stronger.
The Nepalese Ambassador praised Bangladesh’s industrial and economic progress. Nepal expressed interest in investing in the industrial sector in Bangladesh and Bangladesh also assured necessary cooperation. They also exchanged views on regional cooperation, increasing communication and working together for economic development.
Among others, Additional Secretary of the Ministry Md. Nuruzzaman, A. Kamal Billah, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Nepal Embassy Lalita Silwal and other senior officials of the Ministry were present.
