BNP candidate and former Attorney General Md. Asaduzzaman, nominated by the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), has won the 13th National Parliament election by a huge margin in Jhenaidah-1 (Shailkupa) constituency.
The results were announced unofficially after the vote counting on Tuesday (February 12).
According to the information received, the vote counting of all 117 centers in the constituency has been completed. After the counting, the candidate with the paddy sheaf symbol Md. Asaduzzaman got 1,71,598 votes.
His nearest rival, the candidate with the scales symbol Abu Saleh Md. Matiar Rahman, got 55,577 votes.
The results show that BNP candidate Md. Asaduzzaman won unofficially by a margin of 1,16,21 votes.
It should be noted that the official results will be announced through the relevant returning officer.
