Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Livestock Mohammad Amin Ur Rashid met with Belarusian Ambassador to Bangladesh Mikhail KASKO at the office of the Ministry of Agriculture at the Bangladesh Secretariat on Tuesday (April 28, 2026).
During the meeting, the Minister and the Ambassador discussed various issues related to the agriculture, fisheries and livestock sectors of the two countries.
The Minister said that Bangladesh is an agricultural country with a major economy. Modern technology is being expanded in the country’s agricultural sector. There is a demand for modern agricultural technology including fertilizers and seeds in Bangladesh. The government is also working to increase production in the dairy and livestock sectors.
The Ambassador said that Belarus is a country with special experience in the agriculture and livestock sectors. The Ambassador also said that Belarus is interested in cooperating with Bangladesh in agricultural mechanization and supplying fertilizers as one of the world’s leading potash fertilizer producing countries.
