Panchagarh Correspondent:
A distribution of grant checks and parents’ gathering was held among selected students in Panchagarh with the aim of improving the quality of education. The program was organized on Monday (August 25, 2025) at noon in the meeting room of Kamalapur Bi-Mukhi High School in Dhakmara Union of Panchagarh Sadar Upazila.
Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Zakir Hossain was present as the chief guest. The program was presided over by the school president Md. Khairul Islam and was addressed by Sadar Upazila Secondary Education Officer Lutful Kabir Md. Kamrul Hasan, school headmaster Jahangir Alam and others.
Tentulia Upazila Secondary Education Officer Shawkat Ali, Administrative Officer of the Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer’s Office Abdur Rashid, retired bank officer Tafiz Uddin Ahmed, Dhakmara Union BNP General Secretary Azharul Islam, and other dignitaries and parents of the area were present at the time.
At the end of the program, a check of Tk 5,000 was handed over to each of the 20 students selected under the Performance Based Grants for Secondary Institutions (PBGSI) scheme of the Secondary Education Development Program (SEDP) under the Ministry of Education.
