Leaders of Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council paid a courtesy call on BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman at the BNP Chairperson’s office in Gulshan.

During the meeting, the leaders of the Unity Council expressed deep sorrow over the death of Begum Khaleda Zia, the mother of democracy in the country, uncompromising leader, former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson. They conveyed a formal message of condolence to Tarique Rahman on behalf of the organization and expressed condolences to the bereaved family.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was present at the time. In addition, President of Bangladesh Puja Udjavan Parishad Basudeb Dhar and General Secretary Santosh Sharma, Acting General Secretary of Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council Monindra Kumar Nath and Presidium member Kajal Debnath were present.
Also present were Advocate Subrata Chowdhury, Sri Sri Dhakeshwari National Temple Management Committee President Chitta Ranjan Majumder and General Secretary D. N. Chatterjee. Along with this, General Secretary of the Metropolitan Universal Puja Committee Dr. Tapas Chandra Pal also participated in the meeting.
