Bangladesh German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BGCCI) organized an Iftar Mahfil and International Women’s Day celebration at Radisson Blu Dhaka in the capital in honor of its members, diplomats, business leaders and distinguished guests.
The event held on Wednesday (March 11, 2026) was graced by the presence of German Ambassador to Bangladesh Dr. Rüdiger Lotz as the chief guest. In his speech, he highlighted the growing and strong relations between Bangladesh and Germany and praised BGCCI’s role in enhancing business cooperation and people-to-people contacts between the two countries.
BGCCI President Md. Roknuzzaman, FCA said, “The holy month of Ramadan teaches us unity, compassion and solidarity. These values are helpful in strengthening mutual cooperation and partnership among the business community.”
BGCCI Senior Vice President Tariq Anwar presided over the event. He delivered the welcome address. Later, BGCCI Vice President Navneetha Krishnan declared the event closed with a vote of thanks.
German Ambassador Dr. Rüdiger Lotz honored the female guests participating in the event on the occasion of International Women’s Day and extended floral greetings to them.
Finally, the event ended with Iftar and dinner. During this time, the guests present got the opportunity to exchange views and network in a warm and cordial atmosphere.
