Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has issued the following message on the occasion of the ‘Great Independence and National Day’ tomorrow:
“Today, March 26, on the occasion of the Great Independence and National Day, I extend my heartfelt greetings and congratulations to all the people of Bangladesh from all walks of life, including all Bangladeshis living abroad.
March 26 is a glorious and historic day in our national life. On this day, I remember with deep respect the best sons of the nation, in exchange for whose sacrifices we got an independent and sovereign Bangladesh. At the same time, I remember with deep gratitude the heroic freedom fighters, oppressed mothers, sisters and all those who dedicated themselves to the freedom struggle who participated in the great liberation war and pray for the forgiveness of the departed souls of all the martyrs.
The Great Independence Day revives the spirit of courage, sacrifice and patriotism in our lives. The main goal of independence was to establish a non-discriminatory, democratic, peaceful and prosperous Bangladesh. To do. Keeping that goal in mind, we all have to work together and take the country forward.
To further accelerate the progress and development of our beloved motherland, we must keep in mind the spirit of national unity, mutual tolerance and patriotism.
Let us all, learning from the significance of the great Independence and National Day, dedicate ourselves to the welfare of the country from our respective positions. Let us work together to build a developed, prosperous and dignified Bangladesh.
