On Wednesday (February 11, 2026), a courtesy call was held between the party’s Ameer-e-Jamaat Dr. Shafiqur Rahman and the Head of Japan’s Election Observation Team, Hon. Mr. Watanabe Masato, at the central office of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami in Bashundhara, the capital.
During the meeting, views were exchanged on the ongoing political situation in Bangladesh, the upcoming national elections, the electoral environment and the democratic process.
