Desk Report:

All ministries and government programs will be made ‘disability inclusive’ or disability-friendly, said the government’s State Minister for Health Dr. MA Muhith. He said the government is committed to building a truly ‘inclusive Bangladesh’ or inclusive Bangladesh. This is one of the main parts of our election manifesto and political agenda.”

The State Minister for Health said these things while speaking as the chief guest at a stakeholder dialogue organized at the Mohakhali BRAC Center in the capital on Saturday (June 27, 2026) afternoon.

The dialogue titled ‘Towards an Inclusive Bangladesh: Rights and Dos and Don’ts of Persons with Disabilities’ was organized by BRAC and B-Scan.

Describing the steps taken in the last four months after the formation of the government, the State Minister for Health said that two high-level strong committees have already been formed to ensure health treatment, rights protection and services for persons with disabilities.

The State Minister for Health said that during these 4 months, the government has come forward on its own to the disabled community and has started working to protect their rights.

Calling on all individuals and organizations working on disability rights to work together, the State Minister for Health said, “It is very important to have a free and open single forum or platform for effective communication with the government, where all partners will get equal opportunities. You should discuss among yourselves and create a platform so that the government can sit with you directly and take strategic decisions.

State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Dr. MA Muhith assured to work together at the policy level in the coming days after reviewing the specific proposals and demands made by persons with disabilities and their organizations and discussing with them.
