Prime Minister and Leader of Parliament Tarique Rahman, MP, hosted a lunch in honor of students, teachers and visitors of various educational institutions at the VIP cafeteria of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban on Sunday (June 28, 2026).

The lunch was attended by 29 students of the Law Department of the Canadian University of Bangladesh, 21 underprivileged students and teachers who came through the Mass Literacy Campaign’s subsidiary organization ‘Survi’, and 16 students and teachers from Tejgaon College Debating Society.

During the lunch, the Prime Minister sincerely exchanged views with the students and inquired about their studies, future plans and various issues. She said that equal importance should be given to sports along with studies. At the same time, we should develop ourselves as competent, skilled and responsible good citizens.

The Prime Minister also said that the current generation is the future of the country. Students must prepare themselves now to build a developed, prosperous and humane Bangladesh.

Students and teachers expressed their satisfaction at getting the opportunity to participate in the lunch with the Prime Minister and expressed their sincere gratitude to the Head of Government for organizing this event.
It is worth noting that as part of the National Parliament Building visit program, the participating students got an idea about the various activities of the Parliament Secretariat. In addition, they got the opportunity to visit the Parliament Library, participate in a photo session at the North Plaza and witness the activities of the Parliament in the session hall.
