Dr. Md. Suratuzzaman has recently taken charge as the Executive Chairman of the National Pension Authority, the implementing agency of the universal pension scheme. He is a meritorious officer of the 15th batch of BCS (Administration) cadre.
He has been appointed on a contractual basis for 2 (two) years through a notification of the Finance Department under the Ministry of Finance.
He has served in various important positions in the government, including as Assistant Private Secretary to former Honorable Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia. In addition, he is involved in various social welfare-oriented activities and writing.
