Speaker of the National Assembly Hafiz Uddin Ahmad, Bir Bikram, paid tribute on behalf of Bangladesh at the state funeral of Iran’s slain Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in Tehran.
Participating in the state-level funeral ceremony held at the Grand Masalla in Tehran on Saturday (July 4, 2026), the Speaker prayed for the forgiveness and peace of the departed soul of the late Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
On the sidelines of the ceremony, the Speaker met with Iranian President Masoud Pajhwokian and other high-ranking leaders of the country. At that time, he expressed deep condolences and sympathy to the people of Iran on behalf of the government and people of Bangladesh and conveyed his condolences.
Later, Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed signed the condolence book and paid deep tribute to the slain leader.
